Semester 1 (2026)
The first semester runs from January to April, covering the first half of the academic year with lectures, practicals, and assessments.
Orientation: January 6 - 10
Lectures Begin: January 13
Mid-Semester Break: March 9 - 13
End of Lectures: March 2
Exam Period: May 4 - 8
Semester 2 (2026)
The second semester runs from May to August, continuing with coursework, projects, and final examinations.
Lectures Begin: April 28
End of Lectures: July 29
Exam Period: July 11 - 27
Results Release: September 7
Semester 3 (2026)
The third semester runs from September to December, completing the academic year with final courses and graduation preparations.
Lectures Begin: September 14
Mid-Semester Break: November 2 - 6
End of Lectures: December 4
Exam Period: December 8 - 19
Graduation: December 20
Registration Deadlines
All students must complete registration within the specified deadlines. Late registration may incur additional fees and requires department approval.
Semester 1: January 6 - 17
Semester 2: May 4 - 15
Semester 3: September 14 - 25
Late Registration Fee: KSh 500
Public Holidays
The institute observes all Kenyan public holidays. Classes and administrative offices are closed on these dates.
New Year: January 1
Labour Day: May 1
Madaraka Day: June 1
Mashujaa Day: October 20
Independence Day: December 12
Christmas: December 25
Fee Payment Schedule
Tuition and other fees must be paid before the start of each semester. Payment plans are available for students who need financial flexibility.
